The area of
Porta Romana is beautiful and it is really worth visiting it even for
a short time.
It has a typically warm Milanese atmosphere with lots of traditional
trattorias, small artisan shops, fashion and vintage shops, attractive
street markets during the day and many lively nightclubs that offer
everything you need, from aperitifs to an early breakfast the next
morning.
The presence of fashion brands such as Prada guarantees the presence
of chic customers. The shopping streets, mainly Viale Montenero and
Corso di Porta Romana, offer a range of expensive and not expensive
brands, and at the same time, the premises are relaxed and accessible.
Even if there are no pedestrian zones, some locals have launched the
"cool" trend where you can't drink inside, grab a drink at the bar and
go outside, chatting with friends.
Do not you have friends? Don't worry, you'll find them in Porta
Romana.
WHERE
ARE WE
We are in SOUTH-WEST of Milan in an area called Porta Romana (due to
the door of the Spanish walls facing south). It is an area with many
restaurants and shops and certainly the nightlife is not lacking. On
the other hand, however, being on the fifth floor it is very quiet and
peaceful.
We are about 20 minutes walk from the Duomo, 5 minutes walk from the
MM3 PORTA ROMANA stop and about 30 from Piazza Gae Aulenti.
